No need to dream, a private Deeside estate with a difference is waiting to turn your fantasy event into reality
Just imagine if you could stay somewhere in the heart of Royal Deeside, close to a kaleidoscope of activities, attractions and scenery, but hidden away in an ancient woodland on a private estate. Just imagine having your own team of staff at your disposal 24 hours a day, which includes your own master chef, dedicated to you and your guests while you gather in beautiful rooms, before a fabulous meal. No need to imagine – Raemoir exists and that’s what makes us different.
Built in the Georgian Era with many original features remaining, the 17th century house has been enhanced by tasteful yet quirky renovations over the years.
It’s at the heart of the glorious 14-acre estate and if you really want to make a statement, nothing says “I’m here” quite like arriving by helicopter on the front lawn.
At Raemoir House, the team understands what it takes to make an event into a memory. Whether it’s a family gathering or a special day, they have the skills and experience to create moments of joy, deliver top notch food and drink, and make sure everyone feels included.
They can take care of as much – or as little – of the planning as you like and the dedicated team will always be on site during your stay.
Raemoir is your stage and you can adapt its public spaces to give a unique feel to your event, whether it’s an intimate dinner or wedding or a bigger party or corporate gathering for 70 people or more.
Raemoir’s public rooms range from country living comfort in the wood-panelled Drawing Room or private dining in the Oval Ballroom or Georgian Room, to drinks in the Big Fish Bar and games in the Garden Room. All have open fires and each has a unique character of its own, but they can be linked by opening adjoining doors.
And there are 16 en-suite bedrooms to accommodate your guests so it’s an invitation to create the perfect event in your own private world.
The Drawing Room provides the ideal relaxation space: think of nestling in a comfy chair by the roaring fire. Whether you’ve got a book and a moment of solitude in mind or a hideaway for a team chat, the Scots pine-clad walls and luxurious sofas will provide the perfect space.
The Big Fish Bar is the ideal heart of your gathering. Your party can spill out through the double doors on to the lawn and into the grounds. The bar is stocked with an impressive range of Scottish malts, gins and beers – as well as everything else you’d expect.
The huge tarpon caught in 1807 – which gives the bar its name – is sure to provide a talking point or two. If not, then the original bed headboard from the house and Raemoir’s signature quirky style should do the trick.
The Oval Room has unusual curved walls and doors, a grand bronze chandelier and vintage flocked wallpaper, creating a bit of period drama. The stunningly tall windows make the most of the beautiful views.
Of all the rooms the Oval Room feels the most like you’re stepping back in time, whether you’re sitting down to a private dinner or dancing like nobody’s watching.
The Garden Room is a lovely intimate space between the Big Fish Bar and the Oval Room and lends itself to a small dinner, meeting, games or simply a quiet haven.
The Georgian Room is the largest space which can be used for conferences, meetings, and dining. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the grounds are framed by sumptuous drapes.
Raemoir really is the canvas to paint your dreams on.
